Not sure what DAFs are about?

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable investment account that an individual opens with a sponsoring organization. Individuals can contribute cash, stocks, mutual funds and other assets to a DAF and receive an immediate tax deduction. The sponsoring organization manages the DAF and invests the contributions for tax-free growth. The individual recommends donations from their DAF over time to qualifying 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations they care about, like Defenders of Wildlife.
