113 harbor Way, Ste 190

Santa Barbara, CA 93109

Was that a sea otter that you saw floating in a kelp bed near your favorite beach? It just may have been! Sea otters are now more frequent visitors to the Santa Barbara coast.

As part of the Shore to Sea Lecture Series sponsored by the Channel Islands National Park and Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary, join marine biologist Greg Sanders to hear more about these recent arrivals and their ancestors that once inhabited the entire California coast. Greg will provide information about their life history and how to distinguish sea otters from some of their other furry friends. Along the way, he will share his experiences and several interesting stories from his close association with these animals over the past 20 years.
