The Sacramento Area Earth Day Network expects more than 8,000 people to attend the day-long event filled with activities that promote environmental education, empowerment and advocacy. The event is free and the public is invited to come and explore more than 100 booths and exhibits on maintaining a sustainable lifestyle and community. Highlights of the celebration include hands-on activities for all ages, music, vegetarian food, information about organic farming and sustainable agriculture, wildlife presentations and more. There will also be a place where people can safely dispose of household batteries, cell phones, ink cartridges and recycling.
