The Mexican wolf, or el Lobo, has returned to its ancestral home in the Southwest and it’s time to celebrate! March 29th marks the ten-year anniversary of the snowy day in the White Mountains’ Apache National Forest when eleven captive-bred Mexican wolves, the most endangered wolves in the world, which had been missing in the Southwest for 50 years, stepped into the wild and began their comeback.

Come join us for this landmark 10-year anniversary celebration featuring gala entertainment for all ages. Arizona conservation groups are hosting the free festival, Dia de los Lobos from 3 – 7 PM. This event will feature guest speakers Supervisor Richard Elias & Councilmember Regina Romero; The Titan Valley Warheads, Flam Chen, Apache Crown Dancers, Kathie Schroeder & Sueño the Harris' Hawk, Storyteller Gil Payette, Maggie's Facepaint Magic, Sustainability Clown Show, family fun, food, raffle, & more!

For more information about the event, please contact Keely Sinclair at (520) 623-9653 x6.
