Aleutian Goose Festival

March 28, 2008- March 30, 2008

Crescent City Cultural Center

1001 Front Street

Crescent City, CA 95531

The weekend events center around the activities of the Aleutian Goose. Tens of thousands of this once endangered species visit this community each spring. The festival is organized with several different themes; reflecting the diversity of birds, habitats, wildlife, culture, and history found in our unique region, each theme can be explored in totality or samplings can be taken from several. A multitude of other specialized programs led by expert local and regional ornithologists, biologists, botanists, naturalists, historians, and American Indians will be offered. Please join local and regional naturalists, biologists, botanists, ornithologists, wildlife groups, and historians for a chance to enjoy some of Del Norte County's abundant natural and cultural offerings—and to celebrate the come-back of one of America’s beloved birds.

For more information, or if you would like to help volunteer at this event, please contact California Outreach Representative Phaedra Booth. Or visit the Aleutian Goose Festival website.
