Heather Murray, Legal FellowAreas of expertise: Endangered Species Act; National Environmental Policy Act; National Forests; Threats to Wildlife

Heather is a legal fellow with Defenders of Wildlife in Washington, DC.  Her work involves litigation aimed at protecting imperiled species and their habitats, including protecting and promoting the importance of our federal public lands for wildlife conservation.

Heather earned her B.S. from Clemson University and J.D. from Georgetown Law. During law school, she served as a student attorney with Georgetown’s environmental litigation clinic, and as a law clerk at Defenders, The Open Space Institute, and The Wilderness Society. She also worked on a national campaign to secure full funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
