Defenders of Wildlife Grizzly Compensation Trust

In 1997, we established this trust to offer compensation to ranchers and farmers as a way to help reduce grizzly bear-related economic losses while promoting grizzly bear conservation.

Our goal is to shift the economic responsibility for grizzly bear recovery away from individual ranchers and toward the millions of people in the United States who want to see this important species restored.
