Bear Resistant Bins in Idaho Campsites

Clean camps will help to keep bears safe!

In 2008, Defenders along with the United States Forest Service and the Idaho Department of Fish & Game worked with the Boy Scouts of America to supply bear-resistant food storage containers to two campsites in Idaho.

The Island Park Scout Camp in Island Park and Treasure Mountain Boy Scout Camp near Driggs received 72 containers through this collaborative effort to prevent conflicts with bears and promote a safe and happy outdoor experience for campers.
