Jaguar Publications and Facts
Borderland
Jaguars (2001)
David E. Brown and Carlos Lopez Gonzalez. This book describes the historical
relationship between the big cats and humans in the southwestern
United
States and northwestern
Mexico. At the time this book was written, the
preservation of jaguars, even in this remote area in northern
Sonora, was questionable. Brown and Lopez Gonzalez
proposed a conservation plan for the area. The plan is now being implemented by
Defenders of Wildlife and its partners Northern Jaguar
Project and
Naturalia.
