Take Action for Cook Inlet Beluga Whales
What You Can Do:
- Call in all sightings and standings with their locations and time of sighing to the National Marine Fisheries Service office in Juneau (907) 586-7221 or http://www.fakr.noaa.gov/)
- Write letters to the editors in your newspaper urging people to take action demanding that more studies be done to protect the belugas and their environment and
- If you are an Alaskan resident contact National Marine Fisheries Service office in Juneau and your state Legislators and municipal government urging them to fund or support the necessary studies to determine the cause of the belugas’s population decline.

Defenders is part of a coalition of local and national conservation groups, concerned citizens and scientists working towards an “endangered” listing for the Cook Inlet Beluga.
