Want to make a difference for Florida wildlife and the Everglades?
Then come join Defenders as we take part in the 1st Annual Everglades Action Day!
Mark your calendars for April 8th and 9th for a two day trip to Tallahassee to speak with your legislators and their staff about the importance of advancing our conservation goals for the Everglades region.
This is a unique opportunity to tell your legislators why protecting this incredible ecosystem and continuing the commitment to restoration is so important for water and wildlife — and we want you to be a part of it.
The Greater Everglades region is home to a wide and unique array of plants and animals — many of which are endangered species like panthers, sea turtles, Everglade kites, wood storks and Key deer.
Please join us in Tallahassee on April 8th and 9th for a chance to meet other members and activists interested in this issue, Defenders’ staff, and your state legislators and to help influence the outcome of votes on Everglades funding and programs.
Defenders' Florida staff members will be there to welcome you to Tallahassee and accompany you on the visits with legislators.
A full agenda is being planned including:
We'd love for you to join us for these special days devoted to the future of America's Everglades. Special group rates have been arranged for lodging and traveling. Please let us know you are interested in attending, and one of our Florida staff members will be in touch with you shortly.
Don't miss the chance to be a part of this exciting effort to protect the Greater Everglades region and restore the wetlands and wildlife that make this region an internationally recognized Biosphere Reserve.
