Kempthorne Nominated As Interior Secretary

Printer-friendly version
(3/16/2006) - “Senator Kempthorne's record in Congress does not suggest good things for wildlife and public lands. We hope that if he is confirmed, when he pledges to the Senate that he will defend and implement our conservation laws, he means it. The Interior Secretary should always be a voice for good stewardship of our lands and natural resources in the President's cabinet. His predecessor, Gale Norton, actively undermined this role; if confirmed, Senator Kempthorne should make a point of reversing that shameful record. "
