It's the 15th anniversary of the return of Mexican gray wolves to the wild in Arizona, and we're celebrating in Pinetop with our friend John Davis, who is blazing a 5,000-mile trail for wildlife, from the jaguar reserve in Sonora, to the wildlands of British Columbia. His human-powered journey from Mexico to Canada is raising awareness about wildlife corridors — habitat pathways that jaguars, bears, Mexican gray wolves and other species need to survive.

Join Defenders for a unique evening highlighting John's stories from the trail, and hear from Defenders' own wildlife expert, Craig Miller, and other conservation leaders in the region on the significance of Mexican gray wolf recovery in the Southwest and the importance of wildlife corridor protection.

Davis' historic journey is part of the TrekWest project, an alliance of conservationists united to build public support for creating connected wildlife corridors for endangered animals.

Space is limited, please RSVP today!

We are also marking the 15th anniversary of the first release of captive-born Mexican gray wolves into their historic Southwest habitat. Now, we are working to make sure the these wolves are here to stay. We'll have much more to say about our wolf strategy, as well as jaguars and ecosystem recovery, at the event, so be sure to join us.

Look forward to seeing you there!
