Contest will open Feb. 13, 2015. Visit this page once the contest has opened for rules and how to enter.

Win prizes worth a total of $5,000, including a grand-prize, spring photo tour of Yellowstone national park with expert wildlife photographer Jess Lee.

One of Defenders of Wildlife’s main focuses is the protection and restoration of North America’s imperiled wildlife. To be eligible for judging in the 2015 contest, photographs submitted in the wildlife category must feature either imperiled North American wildlife (species that are state or federally listed as endangered, threatened or as candidates for listing) or wild lands. We are especially interested in images of the 25 key species and 15 focal landscapes that we have identified as priorities for our work.

So share your best photos of imperiled wildlife (images of captive animals are not acceptable) and wild landscapes with us and you could win a week-long guided nature photography trip with renowned nature photographer Jess Lee or other prizes. You will also have a chance to see your photos on Defenders web pages, in Defenders, our quarterly publication and in our calendar, annual report and other publications.

You can submit up to six images total in the categories of imperiled wildlife and wild lands. The deadline is Monday, March 17, 2015. Winners will be announced in April 2015, and winning photos will be published in the summer 2015 issue of Defenders, our quarterly publication.
