Jessica Brand
Media relations contact for: Alaska, Appropriations
Jessica works primarily on Alaska issues for Defenders of Wildlife, including Alaska wolf and beluga whale. She also covers the federal appropriations process, specifically for the Departments of Agriculture and the Interior, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Most notably, Jessica has worked on a multifaceted campaign to end the aerial hunting of wolves in Alaska, including the development of print, online and public transit advertisements. She also works on electoral issues for the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund.
Before joining Defenders of Wildlife in August 2007, Jessica interned for a Member of Congress. Prior to this she worked for a British Member of Parliament.
Jessica holds a BA (Hons) from the University of York, England.
