Erin McCallum
Communications Specialist
Media relations contact for: Northern Rockies wolf, bison, fisher, wolverine, polar bear, Florida panther, global warming and all state issues for the Rocky Mountain region, Canada, the northeast and the southeast.
Erin works on a range of issues at Defenders of Wildlife, primarily in the northern Rockies, Florida and throughout the east coast. Most notably, Erin is working to ensure continued protections for northern Rockies wolves through sustainable state management plans.
Before joining Defenders of Wildlife in January 2008, Erin worked for Chlopak, Leonard, Schechter and Associates and coordinated media outreach, communications strategy, grassroots advocacy, public affairs campaigns and crisis communications for wide variety of clients in Europe, Latin America and the United States. Prior to CLS Erin worked for the Embassy of Australia, and held internships at the International Crisis Group and Marie Clare Magazine.
She has a B.A. in Journalism and International Relations from Lehigh University, and recently became a U.S. citizen!
