Erin Lieberman
Federal Lands and Energy Associate
Areas of Expertise: Renewable Energy policy; Forests and Public Lands; and Environmental and Natural Resources Law
As the Federal Lands and Energy Associate, Erin plays a key role in the development and implementation of the federal lands energy program activities, with an emphasis on renewable energy policy issues impacting National Forest and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands. In addition, Erin works with the federal lands team to develop and implement the program’s National Forest and BLM conservation program activities. She conducts research and analysis associated with energy and conservation policy affecting federal lands; engages on federal land management agency administrative actions; and fosters relationships with federal agency and Congressional staff to promote Defenders’ policy goals.
Erin joined Defenders in 2007 as the Walter Kuhlmann Environmental Law Fellow. Erin received her undergraduate degree in 2001 from the University of California, Berkeley, where she majored in Conservation and Resource Studies, and her J.D., Order of St. Ives, at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2007.
Erin is a member of the Colorado Bar.
