Brian Segee
Staff Attorney
Areas of Expertise: Endangered Species Act, National Wildlife Refuges, National Forests, Habitat and Highways, Energy, Global Warming
As Staff Attorney, Brian supports Defenders’ wildlife conservation goals through litigation, administrative law, legislative work, policy analysis and advocacy. Brian’s work encompasses a broad range of conservation issues, including species protection, federal lands, water and wetlands, transportation, borderlands conservation, and global warming.
Brian has more than a decade of experience working to protect imperiled species and wild lands. Before joining Defenders, Brian was the Southwest Public Lands Director for the Center for Biological Diversity in Tucson, Arizona, and prior to that worked for the County of San Diego's Recycling Division.
Brian Segee earned his B.A. in political science from the University of California at San Diego and his J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law.
