Brendan Tate

Government Relations Associate

Areas of expertise: Renewable energy

Brendan is a member of the Government Relations team where he is focusing on legislative and administrative efforts to minimize the impact of increased renewable energy production on wildlife and their habitat.

Prior to joining Defenders of Wildlife, Brendan served as a liaison for the World Wildlife Fund to Congressional members and staff on an array of issues including increased funding for international biodiversity conservation, Farm Bill conservation programs, modernizing and strengthening the Endangered Species Act, and protecting the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Brendan also worked for Representative Dave Obey (D-WI), the Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee.

Brendan earned his B.A. in political science from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.
